The Baltimore Ravens have their back up against the wall heading into their Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night. Ahead of the game, the Ravens decided that former Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander does not give them the best chance to win. When Baltimore signed Alexander back in June, there were certainly high hopes from Ravens fans that Alexander could potentially return to the form that resulted in him being named to multiple Pro Bowls during his time in Green Bay. Unfortunately, things have not gone to plan for Alexander. The former Packers star has only appeared in two games despite not dealing with any kind of injury, being named as a healthy inactive in five games this season for Baltimore. Meanwhile, the Ravens defense stepped up last week without the former Pro Bowler on the field, containing the Chicago Bears offense in the 30-16 win. With this in mind, it’s hard to blame Baltimore for opting to sideline Alexander, given how much better the secondary has looked when he has not been on the field. After all, every game will be crucial for the Ravens to win moving forward based on where they currently stand. As for Alexander’s future in Baltimore, it certainly seems as if his path back to seeing the field may be a difficult one, which is pretty jarring considering he is just 28 years of age.
