The Nationals ended up winning, 6-2. Scherzer is a three-time Cy Young award winner, eight-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion. He pitched 4.1 innings in Game 3 on the road at Dodger Stadium, allowing three runs on five hits. On the year, Scherzer made 17 starts, sporting a 5.19 ERA across 85 innings. However, when the lights are brightest, he wants the ball, and Schneider trusts him to get the job done.
