The iconic talk show host and her wife Portia de Rossi bought a 43-acre estate called Kitesbridge Farm in the Cotswolds in spring 2024. The couple renovated the sprawling home and grounds in under five months, per The Sun. They moved in last Autumn, but then decided the home wasn’t the right fit for them. Listing the estate for sale, they decided to put it on the market in July 2025. The couple has since moved to a new, larger property nearby, which better accommodates Portia’s horses, as the original farmhouse lacked stables and pastures. They have since moved to a new, larger home elsewhere in the Cotswolds area. The Kitesbridge Farm estate was put on the market in July 2025 for a listing price of £22.5 million (A$46 million). The new abode is reported to be perched on a hilltop on the edge of a village in Oxfordshire. Ellen has shared some glimpses from her life in the UK. This week, the former talk show host took to Instagram and shared a video inside her massive Cotswolds home. In the videos, Portia de Rossi’s dog Kid could be seen playing with the couple’s new pup Sport, who they have welcomed into their home following the sad death of their other dog, Augie earlier this year. The video gave fans a glimpse inside their stunning home, which has a massive backyard. In the clip, the dogs were having fun as they ran around the living room. The pups were seen on a very lavish rug, which was in cream and grey hues. Also visible in the video was a Mies van der Rohe Barcelona daybed, and a Hans Wegner Flag Halyard Chair. There was a huge dining table seen at one point, with the kitchen sink behind. It seems that the home is open plan, with the kitchen, dining room and living room all combined. Also in shot was a long side table which had piles of large coffee table books on it. And visible from the huge windows in the living room is Ellen and Portia’s huge garden. “They’ve finally figured it out,” Ellen wrote in her caption, referring to a previous video of the pups playing in which she stated that “Sport and Kid are figuring things out.” She added: “We’ve all been sad since losing Augie. “Sport has brought so much joy into the house and it makes us so happy to see Kid play again, even though he has a very unique style of play.” Ellen’s new pad in the United Kingdom is her main base since she moved from Montecito, California. The couple moved out of the lavish area, where the likes of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry resided. According to The Wrap, President Trump’s recent election sparked the move, and Ellen‘s $41 million Montecito mansion is quietly on the market. In 2020, Ellen was accused by former staff and visitors on her talk show of promoting a toxic work environment. She’s since joked about being “kicked out of show business.” Ellen’s talk show ended in 2022 after 19 seasons. Last October, when she decided to move to the UK, a source told The Sun of Ellen’s excitement.
