The crucial role of young minds in driving India’s technological renaissance and sustainable progress constituted the undercurrent of ‘Viva Yuva 2025’, an inter-school talent extravaganza hosted by VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science, earlier this week. Addressing the valedictory session, K. Kadirvelu, Scientist, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), exhorted students to nurture scientific temper, and pursue knowledge with intellectual integrity, curiosity and scientific exploration. The science exhibition witnessed students blending creativity, analytical reasoning and scientific insight with a keen sense of purpose and originality. About 1,200 students from 35 schools in Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts took part in the event on the theme: Science and Technology for Smarter and Sustainable Wellness, which was designed to foster innovation, intellect and imagination, D. Kalaivani, Principal, said. N. Surya Kumar, Chairman, VLBJ Trust, emphasised the pivotal role of cultivating scientific curiosity and nurturing innovation among the youth for bringing about sustainable and progressive future. D. Brindha, Director of Academics and Research, emphasised on the impact of experiential learning and innovation-driven education.
