The €92,173 post-tax profits are more than double the post-tax profits of €40,670 recorded in 2023. The profits at the company last year resulted in accumulated profits rising from €1.81m to €1.9m. Current assets at the company made up of cash and money owed to the firm by debtors increased from €1.16m to €1.24m. The firm’s coffers have been boosted in recent years with Mr Callan having his own show on RTÉ. In January 2024, Callan signed a two year contract worth €150,000 a year to present the one hour 9am show on RTÉ Radio 1, formerly presented by Ryan Tubridy. He said at the time: “The main reason there was no negotiations was because I don't use an agent. I am my own agent." He said: ”I do use a lawyer. And he's very good lawyer. He's a media contracts lawyer. So that was the kind of the gist of it... There wasn't any new wrangling. That would have taken time." However, Callan has proved to be such a rating winner with listeners that bosses at RTÉ have decided to double the length of the show on Radio 1 to two hours, and recently announced the show is to move to an 11am slot in a shake up of the schedule. The most recent JNLR figures from August show the Oliver Callan show has 354,000 listeners each day, an 18,000 year-on-year increase. The new accounts show the pay to directors last year increased from €36,000 to €52,026. The book value of the company’s tangible assets fell from €741,626 to €732,424. Along with the fees Callan earns from his radio presenting appearances on RTÉ, he also earns income from stand-up shows, along with his own productions for RTÉ. Callan’s business received a boost with RTÉ commissioning 12 hours of his Callan’s Kicks in 2024, while Callan’s Cathy Title firm was commissioned to a further 12 hours this year for Callan's Kicks. The broadcaster set up the company in 2012 to capitalise on the lucrative earnings from his comedy.
