Predicted Rangers XI as Danny Rohl shows true colours and Bojan Miovski in mix for salvation rather than a snub

Rangers boss Danny Rohl still has to do the business against Celtic but his versatility has proved an instant winner at Ibrox. Formation changes, returning the club suit and a promise to fans that substance comes before style – it's been a strong 10 days after the beatdown in Bergen against Brann in his first match. Wins over Kilmarnock and Hibs are important, however, they pale into insignificance if the German is unable to take down Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup semi final with Martin O'Neill stepping into breach after Brendan Rodgers' sudden exit. So what will it be, Danny? The 3-4-1-2 is serving him well and it sticks at the national stadium, which Rangers players are best to make it work? James Tavernier feels a key piece, could he be part of the back three or is the marauding right-back better suited to playing as a full-back? Connor Barron's suspension opens the door for Mohamed DIomande to return into the engine room with Nico Raskin. Djeidi Gassama, an early success under the new regime, is also in the mix to start, however, a shift in formation could leave options limited for wide men. Oliver Antman is in the same boat as Mikey Moore battles to pip Thelo Aasgaard to a starting berth just behind the front two. It feels likely that Youssef Chermiti and rejuvenation man Danilo start but that doesn't mean it's a custard pie for Bojan Miovski. These clashes at Hampden have often turned on a super-sup and, perhaps, the former Aberdeen striker will relish coming into a match which is already stretched to use his nous getting in behind defenders. Rohl isn't short on big calls to seek ahead of his first ever meeting with Celtic.
