The Lucknow Masters, an Indian Pickleball Association (IPA)-sanctioned PWR 50 tournament, concluded with thrilling final matches at Pickle Pro, Lucknow, on Sunday, featuring top-tier competition and high-energy performances across categories. The final matches were a perfect display of precision, teamwork, and mental strength, as the winners of the Lucknow Masters left everything on the court. After four days of intense group-stage and knockout matches, the winners of the tournament were confirmed across four categories — Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. In the Men’s Singles, Prateek Tyagi proved superior to clinch the title by defeating Tanmay 11-0, 11-2. He showcased class, consistency, and strong court awareness throughout the match. Prateek, who featured in three finals, including the Men’s Singles, was the standout performer at Pickle Pro, Lucknow. In a major achievement, he has been selected for the Nationals and will represent Uttar Pradesh in Bengaluru in November. In a post-match interview with Pickleball Now, Prateek said, “I want to thank IPA for conducting state selections. I'm working hard for the Nationals.” In the Women’s Singles, Shambhavi shone bright at the Lucknow Masters after she defeated Anindita 11-5 to lift the Women’s Singles title. Shambhavi’s dominance from the baseline and her ability to capitalise on key points made the difference. With a steady rhythm and tactical clarity, she maintained control throughout the match. In the Men’s Doubles final, Tanmay and Anujay emerged victorious at the Lucknow Masters. The duo overcame an intense challenge from Prateek and Akshat, sealing the championship title with an 11–3, 12–10 win. The match was a perfect display of precision, teamwork, and mental strength, as both pairs left everything on the court. Tanmay and Anujay started the first game strongly, dominating with their sharp reflexes and aggressive net play to win it 11–3. They held their composure in crucial moments, edging ahead 12–10 to clinch the title in straight games. The Men’s Doubles result came as a surprise to the audience, as Prateek — who had been in the limelight throughout the tournament — lost the doubles title to Tanmay and Anujay. Pairing up with Anindita, Prateek showcased superb coordination and tactical precision as the duo defeated Sana and Ankush 11-3 in the Mixed Doubles final.
