Police seek to identify suspects accused of defrauding Kingston hardware store

Kingston Police have released the above image and are requesting public assistance to identify the two people pictured, suspects in a recent fraud case. According to police, the two individuals were “involved in a fraud at a local hardware store” on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025. While Kingston Police did not specify which hardware store the incident occurred at, they did disclose that the suspects “used a sleight of hand technique when paying cash for their purchase to shortchange the business.” In a press release on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, police said the investigation into the fraud is ongoing. Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Bill Ross via email at [email protected]. Those with information who prefer not to disclose their identity can contact the Kingston Police general number (613-549-4660 ext. 0) and request to remain anonymous.
