Police in Wigan responded to 'anti-social behaviour' near the cenotaph on Friday evening. Officers said 'further referrals' will be made over the incidents near the cenotaph just two days before Remembrance Sunday. The incident was posted about on the GMP Wigan and Leigh Facebook page in the early hours of this morning, as officers outlined some of the crimes they responded to last night. After the response at the cenotaph, police also found a hidden in woodland after a search. Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE A woman was also arrested for allegedly breaching a court order after she was spotted near the address of a 'vulnerable person'. In full, the social media post said: "#Update. Leigh Neighbourhood team have been out in the town centre this evening. "We have spoken to a number of businesses and dealt with some anti social behaviour near to the cenotaph. Further referrals and discussions will be had with the local authority about these individuals and the impact they’re having on the community. "Whilst out we were handed some information about possible weapons hidden in woodland. A search of the area was conducted and a knife was found hidden as described. "Also whist checking on a vulnerable person whose address is being used by others for anti social purposes officers spotted a female who was not allowed to be in the area as per her court order. "A quick check revealed she was not in breach of just one court order but a second as well.
