New Delhi, Oct 23 (KNN) Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit Berlin, Germany, from October 23, 2025, to strengthen India–Germany engagement as the two countries mark 25 years of their Strategic Partnership. As part of his engagements in Berlin, Goyal will participate in the third Berlin Global Dialogue (BGD) — an annual forum convening leaders from business, government, and academia to deliberate on key global economic challenges. He will feature as a panelist in the session titled ‘Leaders’ Dialogue: Growing Together – Trade and Alliances in a Changing World’, which will explore strategies to navigate the evolving global trade landscape and foster sustainable growth through stronger international cooperation. Key highlights of the visit include meetings with top executives from major German firms such as Schaeffler Group, Renk Vehicle Mobility Solutions, Herrenknecht AG, Infineon Technologies AG, Enertrag SE, and Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Goyal will also chair a roundtable with leaders of German Mittelstand companies and hold discussions with representatives of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the Asia-Pacific Association of German Business (APA). During the visit, Minister Goyal is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with senior German and Luxembourgish officials, business leaders, and industry associations aimed at bolstering trade, investment, and strategic cooperation. In Berlin, Goyal will meet Katherina Reiche, German Federal Minister, Economic Affairs & Energy, and Dr. Levin Holle, Economic and Financial Policy Advisor, Federal Chancellery and Germany’s G7 and G20 Sherpa. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening the dynamic Indo–German economic partnership and identifying new avenues for collaboration in trade and investment. The Union Minister will also meet Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Luxembourg, to discuss the enhancement of bilateral trade relations, Luxembourg’s upcoming State Visit to India, and current regional and international developments. These engagements are aimed at promoting industrial partnerships, facilitating investments, and deepening business-to-business linkages, particularly in areas of sustainability, innovation, and advanced manufacturing.
