FLINT, MI - The Flint Farmers’ Market will come alive with pink lights and country vibes as Financial Plus Credit Union and the Hurley Foundation host their annual Pink Night Palooza fundraiser. The event is Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s theme, “Give Cancer the Boot,” promises a night of cowboy charm and community spirit, all to support local breast cancer patients through Hurley’s Breast Cancer Navigation Program. The Erik Jones Foundation serves as the event’s Title Sponsor. Guests can expect an evening featuring a one-of-a-kind bra-artistry fashion show, a live auction led by Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson alongside Tarnesa “Nurse T” Martin and McKenzie Miller, and live music from local country artist Madison Olivia. Attendees will also enjoy food from local vendors, prizes, and entertainment—all for a cause that hits close to home. For more than 17 years, Financial Plus and Hurley have co-hosted Pink Night Palooza, raising over $1 million for the Hurley Breast Cancer Navigation Program. The program offers year-round, free assistance to local patients, helping cover costs such as groceries, bills, medications, co-pays, and wigs while also providing emotional and logistical support during treatment and recovery. “Year after year, Pink Night Palooza stands as a testament to what partnership and purpose can achieve,” said Karima Amlani in a statement, President of the Hurley Foundation. “Financial Plus and our community of supporters make it possible for Hurley to provide compassionate, personalized care for patients facing breast cancer.” Tickets are available now at hurleyfoundation.org/events/pink-night-palooza. “Pink Night Palooza brings our community together in the most inspiring way,” said Ciara Kolasinski in a statement, Community Impact Manager at Financial Plus Credit Union and event co-chair. “The love, creativity, and generosity of the community give hope to patients and families who need it most.” Since October 2024, Hurley’s Breast Cancer Navigation Program has provided more than $60,000 in direct financial assistance to patients across Genesee County—many of whom are uninsured or underinsured. By helping with costs related to medical care, housing, and transportation, the program ensures that no one in the community faces cancer alone.
