Luckily for us, Robards just so happened to be frolicking in the surf in Queensland’s Gold Coast on Monday, just hours before Golden Bachelor Barry “Bear” Myrden was passed the Bach baton. Wearing a pair of striped white and blue Speedos, the OG bach looked just like he did when he first hit our screens in 2013 – tall, tanned and handsome. The outing marks some rare downtime for the 43-year-old, whose star soared after he appeared on the inaugural season. The former chiropractor and model has been busy ever since his debut season aired. He not only went on to marry his chosen lady, established criminal lawyer Anna Heinrich, but the pair now share two beautiful daughters: Elle, four, and Ruby, 19 months. The couple have also appeared on the reality show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, and both also went on to compete on the gruelling military-esque TV program, SAS Australia. Heinrich lasted 11 episodes when she starred in the program in 2022 and Robards won the series altogether in 2023, beating Olympic diver Matthew Mitcham in the finale. In recent years, Robards has also ventured into acting, scoring a recurring role as millionaire businessman Pierce Greyson on Neighbours from 2018 to 2020. He is also set to appear in the upcoming TV series The Good Hustle, and recently wrapped filming on a rom-com Chef’s Kiss (to be titled From Italy with Love here in Australia). It is set to be his biggest project yet which sees him star opposite Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, an American actress who was in the former girl groups 3LW and The Cheetah Girls. “Very excited to announce! … I’ve been cooking something up in the kitchen!” Robards shared on Instagram earlier this month. “Just wrapped filming a ‘Chef’s Kiss’ (Aka ‘From Italy with Love’ in Aus) alongside Adrienne Bailon-Houghton set against the backdrop of beautiful Tuscany.” “Thanks to the amazing team @jaggi_entertainment and director @adrianjpowers and my partner in crime @adriennebailon for making this such a delectable treat to film!” The movie is scheduled for release around Valentine’s Day next year on The Roku Channel.
