Penn State Health Children’s Hospital receives $50M donation, joins national network

Tom Golisano of the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship in Rochester, New York, made a major announcement on Tuesday morning. Golisano announced the formation of the Golisano Children’s Alliance, a group of 10 children’s hospitals. Each hospital will incorporate the Golisano Institute into its name. Golisano also announced he is donating a combined $253 million to the hospitals, including Penn State Health Children’s Hospital in Derry Township, which will receive a $50 million donation. “The goal is to build a national network of children’s hospitals,” Golisano said. He hopes more children’s hospitals will join the alliance in the future. This is a developing story. Please check back with PennLive.
