A dog’s reaction to his grooming job has left the internet in hysterics. Reddit user u/Same_Lab_3023 shared a photo of their freshly shaved pup, Remy, ahead of a veterinary appointment—and his reaction has been cracking people up across the internet. According to Wag!, the area to be shaved is based on what type of surgery the dog is about to undergo—for example, when a dog is being spayed their abdomen may be shaved “from the sternum all the way to the groin” to create a sterile operating field that is free of hair and other debris. Wag! explains that while pet owners can do the preliminary shave themselves, the veterinary technician will still remove hair and prepare the site again to ensure proper sterilization.
