The platform, accessible via the OUR’s website at www.our.org.jm, offers customers up-to-date information on recovery progress by the island’s major utility providers, Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS), National Water Commission (NWC), Digicel, and Flow. The Interactive map gives an at-a-glance view of each parish’s restoration status, using colour-coded icons to represent different utility services. Users can view areas with and without service for each utility provider, the number of telecommunications sites currently online or offline, and the percentage of service restored by parish. The map also allows users to compare data over time through a built-in data selector, offering both current and historical restoration information. For the best experience, the OUR recommends accessing the tool on a desktop or tablet. According to the regulator, this initiative underscores its commitment to transparency and effective communication during national recovery efforts following Hurricane Melissa. The OUR encourages the public to follow its official social media pages on X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok for ongoing updates. Customers with specific queries about service restoration can also contact the Consumer Affairs Unit at consumer@our.org.jm.
