Beirut, October 31 (QNA) - One person has been killed and another wounded in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. In a statement, the ministry said that an Israeli airstrike on the village of Kounine in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon, left one person dead and another injured. A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon, which took effect on November 27, 2024, required Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages and towns within 60 days. Later, the Lebanese government extended the withdrawal deadline to February 18, 2025. Despite this, Israeli forces remain stationed at five locations along the border and continue to violate the agreement. (QNA)
