Beirut, November 09 (QNA) - One person was killed on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon. According to Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the strike targeted a vehicle in the town of Houmine al-Faouqa, in Nabatieh district, resulting in the death of one civilian. The Israeli occupation continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon, which was signed on November 27, 2024, and came into effect shortly thereafter. The deal stipulated the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from border towns and villages in southern Lebanon within 60 days. The Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18 of this year; however, Israeli forces have remained stationed at five positions along the border. (QNA)
