Olivia Attwood and Maura Higgins feud takes new turn following 'bizarre' career move

They both appeared on Love Island and are both trying to carve out a long standing career for themselves in the cut throat world of TV. So it's only natural that there would be a level of rivalry between Olivia Attwood and Maura Higgins . But according to recent reports, Olivia has been left fuming as Maura has decided to ditch her old PR agency Dundas Communications and has hopped on to the books of Olivia's agency, Align PR, in the US. This comes after their long running feud left Olivia's camp reportedly believing Maura was doing her best to mirror the Loose Women panellist's career moves, a claim which Maura denies. According to The Sun, this is not the first time Maura has followed the same path as Olivia when it comes to representation as Olivia was previously with Dundas Communications. At the time of Maura joining them, Dundas represented high profile names including Kate Garraway , Billie Piper and Dermot O'Leary. Olivia then moved over to Align PR, who look after Selena Gomez and none other than Madonna. Speaking to The Sun, a source close to Olivia said: "Olivia’s never been Maura’s biggest fan as she always got the sense she was trying to follow in her footsteps, but initially she tried to see it as flattering." They added: "But when she learned Maura has signed with the same PR company as her, for a second time, she was shocked to say the least. " The source continued: "All of us think it’s a total blindside that no one saw coming. Ultimately they are being looked after by separate teams within the company and there is no crossover, but still, it’s all quite bizarre." For Olivia's camp, it appears too coincidental considering the vast amount of PR agencies that there are for her to choose from but instead is copying Olivia rather than "building her own brand in her own lane." According to those close, Olivia decided to leave Dundas as she didn't want to compete with Maura for work but has now found herself in then same position. In Maura's defence, the publication states that friends of the Love Island star say that she is just going where the opportunities present themselves. Also, they claim that there is always going to be an overlap between her and Olivia as they started off on the same show. The friend added: "The majority of Maura’s work now is out of the US, so it makes sense that she has US-based PR. She has had US PR previously, so this is not a first, and she is re-engaging ahead of her season of Traitors USA. The decision to work with Align has nothing to do with Olivia." The Mirror understands that Maura has been signed to CAA, which is one of the biggest agencies in America and Align PR is their recommended agency. She has a US based team which covers states including LA and New York. Like this story?
