OG Wonder Woman Approves Of Sabrina Carpenter’s Version Of The DC Hero

With Halloween 2025, the superhero culture, whether it is DC or Marvel, is getting celebrated more than ever. However, actors and pop stars are also showing their passion for the comic book genre, including Sabrina Carpenter. The 26-year old unveiled her Wonder Woman this weekend, paying homage to Lynda Carter's version of the DC heroine. It didn't take long for Carter herself to acknowledge Carpenter's Halloween look, as she gave the following statement on X: The superhero veteran stated, "I see this little argument about Wonder Woman being brunette," before adding, "Reminder! Wonder Woman is within all of us, and sometimes, she has blonde hair like." Carpenter has yet to respond to Carter's post. Carter brought the beloved hero to life on the small screen in 1976 through the Wonder Woman TV show, which became one of the character's most iconic live-action incarnations, and still is to this day. It aired from 1976-1977 on ABC before it was moved to CBS for its remaining run from 1977-1979. The beloved actress has also appeared in other DC media to celebrate her Wonder Woman legacy, including the DCEU movie timeline. In Wonder Woman 1984, Carter appeared as Asteria, who was reportedly meant to have a larger role in Wonder Woman 3 before it was cancelled. A new take on the Themyscira legend is on its way to James Gunn's DC Universe, as a new Wonder Woman solo movie is currently in development at DC Studios. The script is being written by Supergirl's Ana Nogueira, as a director has yet to be hired for the reboot. DC Studios is also tackling Diana Prince's culture through a prequel TV show, Paradise Lost, which would take place years before the beloved Justice League hero was born. The project is still in development stages as a script is being worked on. Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, who helmed the two films with Gal Gadot, recently shared that she'd never say never about returning to telling more stories about Diana. The DCU has yet to tap a new star for the role.
