NPP’s Kamal-Deen hails Channel One, Citi FM for Northern Business Fair initiative

Deputy National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal-Deen Abdulai, has commended Channel One TV and Citi FM for their bold initiative in organising the Northern Business Fair 2025, describing it as a “giant step” toward promoting economic growth and talent development in northern Ghana. Mr. Abdulai, who could not hide his excitement, said the event would not only boost the local economy but also help bridge the developmental gap between the North and the South. “When I saw it, I was like wow, this is an amazing giant step that Channel One TV and Citi FM have taken. I have always been an advocate for bridging the gap between the North and the South,” he said. “When I am saying bridging the gap, it ought to be positive. The potential that we unearthed from the North ought to be brought down.” Mr. Abdulai noted that the fair would showcase the creativity and entrepreneurial potential of northern Ghana, which could contribute significantly to national development. “I have been following the advert and I have been seeing the indications of the kind of stands that we are going to have. These are talents that we are going to continue to unearth in the North, and that would end up enhancing the economic environment of this country. I pray and hope that this won’t be the end; it should continue,” he stated. He further encouraged participating vendors to take advantage of the fair to expand their reach and sustain their businesses beyond the event. “After the fair, the business people who are also going to have their stands should not see it as the end. I want to see them try to penetrate,” he urged. The Northern Business Fair 2025, a two-day event powered by Channel One TV and Citi FM, will be held at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2025. The fair aims to transform the Northern Region into a hub of commerce, creativity, and collaboration. It will serve as a one-stop marketplace for everything Made-in-Ghana, highlighting the innovation of small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, research bodies, and indigenous brands from across the Savannah, Northern, North East, Upper East, and Upper West Regions. The event is proudly sponsored by Ecobank, Syde Hassle, the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), and the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).
