Nitish Holding 4 Rallies A Day, No Question Of Poor Health: Amit Shah At News18’s Bihar Event

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has been holding four rallies a day, just like me, said Union Home Minister Amit Shah at News18 India’s Sabse Bada Dangal Bihar 2025 on Wednesday. Rubbishing the health concerns raised by the opposition, in a session with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi, Shah said, “From what I know, Nitish ji is holding four rallies a day. He is meeting people. Even I am holding four rallies. For rallies, you have to climb three flights of stairs. You have to walk for almost 2.5-3 km to do four rallies. Where is the question of his health [being in poor shape]?” “He has been answering every question being asked by RJD’s Lalu Yadav and Rabdi Devi. They are trying to create a perception…” said Shah. If he is in sound mental health, why is he reading out from a written speech and indulging in such behaviour?” Other Opposition leaders, too, have raised questions over Kumar’s health. Shah also said he was confident that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will form a government with unprecedented majority in Bihar. “We will form Bihar government with more than two-thirds majority for the NDA. When I say two-thirds majority, it means for the NDA alliance. There is a wave in favour of the NDA…” As per the deal for the 243-member assembly, the BJP and Kumar’s JD(U) are contesting 101 seats each. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ramvilas) has a share of 29 seats. Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM got a share of six seats each. For the first time in Bihar’s electoral history, the BJP and JD(U) are contesting an equal number of seats— 101 each — in the upcoming 2025 Assembly elections. This marks a major shift in the state’s political equation, as Kumar’s party has traditionally contested a larger share whenever the two parties have been in alliance. Voting for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 6 and November 11, with results on November 14.
