While opening the live show on Saturday night, Glaser started off with a number of innocuous jokes, including quips about her spray tan and her boyfriend, Chris Convy, who happens to be shorter than her. But Glaser’s monologue seemed to get more and more polarizing as it went on, especially once she made comments about rape, sex trafficking and pedophiles. The comments that fans seem to have the biggest issue with revolves around Glaser’s 4-year-old nephew, who she said recently wanted to take a shower with her. While the child’s mom, Glaser’s sister, said it was okay, Glaser countered with, “What if I molest him?” “And she was like, ‘Would you,’ and I was like, ‘No! I would never! That’s disgusting!'” Glaser exclaimed, before adding, “But that’s what I would say if I was gonna.” Oops! We’re unable to load this content right now. You don’t get to choose what you’re into, dude.” “What if you get in there and you’re like, ‘Well this is my thing,’ and then it opens up a part of my brain,” Glaser added, noting that she was aware that she “sounds crazy.” Fans Are Divided Over Nikki Glaser’s Dicey SNL Monologue Though it was obvious that Glaser was joking about the scenario for the sake of the monologue, some users online thought her comments took things too far, even for a joke. After the video was uploaded to SNL‘s socials, a multitude of users took to the comments to call out Glaser for making “offensive” and “off-color” jokes. “I don’t think I’ve ever complained about an SNL monologue, but Nikki’s p*do jokes weren’t it,” one user wrote on X. “This was actually horrible and gross,” someone else lamented. “I love comedy as much if not more then [sic] most. Molestation jokes are not funny and they will never be funny. Thats c grade comedian shit. She should be better than that,” another user criticized. One user chimed in, “I find her very funny, and edgy, but agree with the comments that some of her stuff in this bit was better suited for her NetFlix special and not the SNL audience.” Meanwhile, a number of other viewers found nothing wrong with Glaser’s monologue, claiming that she was staying true to her usual boundary-pushing comedy style. “I loved it. The delivery is edgy and walks the line that men would love if a man delivered these lines,” one user wrote in Glaser’s defense.
