Despite his on-screen financial woes, Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks has made a huge financial contribution to a former WWE superstar's medical aid campaign. The latter, Ridge Holland, had his contract recently terminated by the sports entertainment juggernaut. The former Brawling Brutes member sustained a serious injury to his foot during his dark match against Moose in TNA this past September. Shortly after Ridge began his journey to recovery, WWE informed him that the company would not be renewing his deal, which was set to run out in mid-November, albeit supposedly agreeing to bear the costs for his physical therapy, rehab and other related expenses. Holland took to social media recently to voice his frustrations over his contractual situation with the Stamford-based promotion, claiming that WWE "hung [him] out to dry" by opting to not renew his deal while he was on the mend, even alluding to a potential neck fusion surgery he may have to undergo soon. However, the Triple H-led company has reportedly reacted to the Englishman's post by terminating his contract earlier than it was supposed to expire. As a consequence of his firing, a GoFundMe was recently launched for Ridge Holland and his family. The campaign has received contributions from Chelsea Green (who has seemingly set up a monthly $1000 donation) and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks, who also contributed one grand by way of financial aid. WWE supposedly fired Ridge Holland to "send a message"On a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed WWE's handling of Ridge Holland in the wake of the company terminating the latter's contract in advance before its expiry. The veteran journalist speculated that the promotion made its decision so as to make an example out of Holland and demonstrate the consequence of speaking up against the leading pro-wrestling brand publicly. "In your deal, you’re not supposed to talk badly about the company in public. And so they felt that they now have the right to fire him. It’s going to cost him. It’ll either be one week’s pay or two weeks’ pay because he wasn’t getting paid after November 14th anyway. But it’s like, they didn’t need to do it. I guess they felt that they, I mean, however you want to look at it, they wanted to send a message to everyone out there that if you say anything bad, that you can be cut.
