Amidst the NWSL controversy around the participation of trans players in women's soccer, alpine skier Lindsey Vonn has taken a bold step towards the rise in women's sports. The former Olympic champion has joined the likes of basketball players Magic Johnson and Chris Paul as a member of the National Women's Soccer League advisory board.According to recent reports, Lindsey Vonn has joined the advisory board of the NWSL team Utah Royals FC. Vonn shared the news in back-to-back Instagram stories on her profile.Vonn described how her decision will lead to a rise in women's sport. She wrote in the caption,"I'm honored to have joined the @nwsl Advisory Board, representing @utahroyalsfc. Proud to play a part in building the future of women's sport."Lindsey Vonn is not alone. Celebrities like Hollywood star Elizabeth Banks, former Olympic champion gymnast Alexandra 'Aly' Raisman, basketball legends Magic Johnson, Chris Paul, etc., have also joined the NWSL advisory board. I have a titanium knee. I am forty-one. I already had the record for the oldest Olympic medalist at thirty-three. I think some people were a little bit skeptical of my comeback, but you know, when I got the silver medal at the last World Cup, it was just like the Olympics for me. I did it for myself. I knew I could do it, but so many people said that I couldn't. I proved everyone wrong.
