A new Vande Bharat Express has started operating between Danapur (Patna) and Jogbani in Bihar, connecting the state capital region with the India-Nepal border. The semi-high-speed train has already become a talking point among travellers for cutting down travel time and offering a comfortable experience. What makes this service special is its location; the route ends right at Jogbani, a key town on the Bihar-Nepal border. From here, passengers can easily travel across to Nepal by road. The train offers a direct and modern connection for people from Patna and nearby cities heading towards the border region. From Danapur To Jogbani The train, numbered 25305/25306, runs between Danapur and Jogbani, covering around 450 kilometres in roughly eight hours. It stops at major stations including Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Saharsa, Purnia, Araria Court, and Forbesganj. The service was inaugurated on September 15 this year, and began regular operations soon after. It is the first Vande Bharat Express to operate so close to the India-Nepal border, marking a milestone for Bihar’s railway network. The fare between Danapur and Jogbani is around Rs 1,310 for Chair Car and Rs 2,375 for Executive Chair Car. The train consists of eight coaches, including one Executive Chair Car and seven AC Chair Cars. Ticket booking is available online and through railway counters, just like other Vande Bharat trains. Inside the Train Like other Vande Bharat services, this one also comes with modern facilities. Each coach features reclining seats, charging points, automatic doors, and improved lighting. The train is fully air-conditioned, and its clean interiors and comfortable seating make it suitable for long-distance travel. Passengers have also appreciated the smooth acceleration and minimal noise during the journey. Route and Frequency The Danapur-Jogbani Vande Bharat Express runs six days a week, except Tuesday. It departs from both ends in the morning and returns by evening, completing the trip in about eight hours. With an average speed of around 55 km/h, it offers one of the fastest connections across north Bihar.
