Nearly nine years after its debut, Stranger Things is returning for its much-awaited fifth and final season. Netflix has announced that Season 5 will premiere on November 26, with the first four episodes dropping on that day, followed by three more on Christmas, and the grand finale arriving on December 31. To make the farewell season truly special, Netflix has lined up global fan events across five continents, beginning on November 6 — Stranger Things Day, a date that marks the in-universe disappearance of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) into the Upside Down. The world premiere will take place in Los Angeles, where fans worldwide can tune in via a live-streamed event. Adding to the excitement, Netflix will screen the first five minutes of Stranger Things 5: Volume 1 at the premiere. The show’s lead cast and creators, the Duffer Brothers, will walk the red carpet, promising an unforgettable night for fans around the globe. Fan Events: North America On November 23, from 9 am to 3 pm, the streamer will be teaming up with CicLAvia so that fans get to experience biking and skating. In this Los Angeles event, there will be a lot of activities like photo booths, giveaways and many more things for fans to be entertained. Fans will also get to bike through their cities in Atlanta, New York City, Raleigh, San Francisco and Chicago, along with Washington, DC, for the sci-fi series’ final season celebrations. There will also be the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a day after the premiere of Volume 1 of Stranger Things. The parade will start at 8:30 am ET on November 27th. You can catch it on television. The finale will be screened on December 31 and January 1 in US and Canadian theatres. Fan Events: South America There will be a public fan parade on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. Then, there will be another celebration in Buenos Aires in December ahead of New Year’s Eve. Fan Event: Europe On October 31, that is Halloween, the biggest comic convention of Europe will be held at Lucca, in Italy. The event will host Stranger Things actors like Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin and Finn Wolfhard. There will be fan Q&A as well. Stranger Things Clubhouse: Netherlands An interactive fan event with themes related to all five seasons of the series will take place on November 24 and 25. Special Fan Screening: UK On November 13, fans will be able to watch the first episode at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square. More details on the event are yet to be disclosed. In December, another fan event will happen, before the release of the remaining volumes. Fan Event: Turkey On November 15 and 16, a two-day event will be organised at the Volkswagen Arena. Fans will get to know more details about the event through Netflix Turkey. Fan Event: Middle East A desert-themed celebration of the sci-fi thriller will be held on November 21-22. The event will have all the Hawkins-inspired activities that die-hard Stranger Things fans will love. Fan Event: South Africa Netflix is all set to organise a fan event in Johannesburg to mark the last season on November 29 and 30. The details of this will soon be revealed on social media. Fan Event: Asia On November 22 at 3 pm, the cast will attend a fan event in Tokyo, Japan. It will be a special RSVP event at the Live Door Urban Sports Park. There will be a retro-themed Stranger Things bike ride arcade game on November 21-30 in Jakarta, Indonesia. In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the streets are all set to transform into a Hawkins-like vibe from November 27 to 29. There will also be a multi-day fan celebration from November 27 to 29 in Manila, Philippines. Similarly, Bangkok will organise a fan event from December 19 to 28. Fan Event: Australia Sydney will get to witness a fan spectacle on November 25 and 26. More details of which are yet to be announced.
