Amidst her absence, the latter part of 2023 witnessed how Nelly Korda’s sister announced her pregnancy.From May 2023 till now, Jessica has not been spotted in the competitive golf scene. Following her long maternity leave, the six-time LPGA Tour winner is set to participate in the 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational this December. Months after that in February 2024, Korda shared on Instagram about the birth of Greyson John DelPrete.The Florida native last played in the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup where she withdrew from competition after carding a 72 in the first round. Although Jessica did not compete in any competitive golf tournament, she was often spotted attending events with Greyson. In a video shared by Jessica herself, she revealed how it felt to step into the range and hit a few shots. As Nelly Korda’s sister said, she felt some pain in her muscles, forearm, and shoulder since she was missing in action for a long time. Jessica said (as quoted by Yahoo Sports):"Definitely sore. It’s been a year and some months since I didn’t hit any golf balls at all. It’s tough, my shoulder hurt, my forearm, my wrist, my glute muscles, that I hadn’t guess activated in that way such a long time."While talking about her time in the golfing range Jessica also shared a confident response:"It was really nice to make some contact. I hit some tough shots that I was really proud of, clipping it nicely."Korda will be stepping up alongside Bud Cauley at Tiburon Golf Club from December 12 to 14 to compete in the mixed event. While talking about her LPGA Tour return, Jessica revealed that, as per the conditions in the LPGA Maternity Policy, she is "kind of" "shooting for" 2026.
