Nehal Chudasama On Ashnoor Kaur Being Body Shamed In Bigg Boss 19: ‘I Know The Pain It Carries’

The Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 was packed with tense moments, but the highlight came when Salman Khan addressed a sensitive issue, contestants “body-shaming” Ashnoor Kaur. The host confronted Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri for their remarks about Ashnoor’s weight, after which they eventually apologised. Earlier in the week, several members of the entertainment industry had condemned the contestants’ behaviour, and now even Nehal Chudasama has spoken out, saying she is completely against such comments. In an interview with Viral Bhayani, Nehal said that while the dynamics in the house change every minute, body shaming can never be condoned, regardless of the situation. She reflected on her own experience and said, “I’ve been body shamed all my life, and I know the pain it carries. It stays with you forever.” She added, “If it were me, I would’ve taken a very big stand because I’ve always been loud and clear about what’s right.” Moving on, Nehal questioned Tanya Mittal and Neelam Giri’s hypocrisy, saying that these people have nothing to do with fitness and still body shame others. Kunickaa, who had earlier taken a strong stand for women’s empowerment when Malti Chahar spoke ill about Tanya Mittal, was herself accused of participating in the body-shaming incident. Responding to this, Nehal said that life inside the Bigg Boss house is very different and that people often say things which may be perceived differently outside. Was Nehal Chudasama Portrayed Wrongly? Meanwhile, following her elimination, Nehal Chudasama stated in multiple interviews that she was misrepresented on the show. Clarifying her side, she said, “I’ve shown who I am on the show—all shades of me. It’s always been real, not exaggerated or underplayed. How I was portrayed isn’t something I agree with. There were so many things that weren’t shown in the episodes.” Nehal was eliminated during a shocking double elimination round last week, along with Baseer Ali.
