The NBA season is two weeks through, and we have only one undefeated team in the league. The team that holds that title is the defending champion and the new top team this week: the Oklahoma City Thunder.The Thunder remain unbeaten, sitting with an 8-0 record and coming off a win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The Thunder move to 4-0 on the road and 4-0 at home. Oklahoma City sits at the top in defensive rating (104.2) and net rating (13.1). In terms of their offensive rating, they sit at 117.3, which is the eighth spot. The teams that made the biggest jump in this week’s power rankings are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Chicago Bulls. Although the season is only two weeks old, the Bulls appear to be a solid team. Now, the first couple of weeks could fool people, but the Bulls simply made the jump because of their record and a sign of respect thus far. However, it may all be fool’s gold in Chicago as they are outside of the top 10 in three important categories: offensive rating, defensive rating and net rating. Although they have been decimated by injuries, they are playing inspirational, team chemistry basketball. No LeBron James and, at times, no Luka Doncic or Austin Reaves, no problem for the Lakers.
