A New York woman made the purchase of a lifetime, winning the top prize in the New York Lottery’s Jackpot Fortune scratch-off game, lottery officials announced. Briana Gagner of Rochester claimed the $10 million prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $4,674,190, after required withholdings, according to officials. The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway, located at 3152 Chili Ave. in Rochester. Rochester is located in Western New York, approximately 90 miles east of Buffalo. As of this writing, one $10 million top prize remains on the Jackpot Fortune scratch-off game. Valid lower-tier prizes may be claimed until the game’s expiration date. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov. New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4.34 billion in total sales during fiscal year 2024–2025. School districts in Monroe County received $199.87 million in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
