Weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mumbai Metro Line 3, its new A3 gate at Bandra Kurla Complex station has been opened for commuters on Wednesday (October 29), making it easier for commuters to travel. The underground Aqua Line, Mumbai Metro 3, shared a post on X, making the announcement. "The new A3 gate at BKC Station is now open!" the Mumbai Metro 3 wrote in the social media post on Wednesday. The opening of the new gate will make travelling to several locations easier, like One BKC, the Connector side and Jio Garden, via auto. "Easy access for passengers heading towards One BKC, Connector side, or Jio Garden - now reach faster with smoother auto access and reduced vehicle turning time," it added. He further asked to open the Sahar Road B1 exit towards the Maratha Sheraton side. "It’s ready, yet being kept closed." Another user wrote, "What about A3, A4, B1, and B2 of the Hutatma Chowk station? Currently, we have to walk all the way to A1 or B4. None of the entries/exits are open between them." Spanning 33.5 kilometres, the Mumbai Metro Line-3 will help ensure smoother daily travel between South Mumbai and the suburbs. The fully underground metro, expected to serve over 13 lakh passengers, has connected South Mumbai's heritage spots like Kala Ghoda and Marine Drive. It has also linked major administrative centres, including the Bombay High Court and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
