Morrisons issues urgent warning as shoppers told do NOT eat table sauce over allergy risk

Morrisons has issued an urgent warning to customers, advising them "not to eat" a certain product. The supermarket chain is recalling Morrisons Savers Salad Cream after it was discovered that the product may contain egg and mustard, ingredients which are not listed on the label. This poses a potential health risk for anyone with an egg allergy, mustard allergy or an intolerance to these ingredients. Customers who have purchased the product are being urged to return it to the store for a full refund and to avoid eating it it. The Food Standards Agency shared an allergy alert, stating: "Morrisons is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. "The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product." In its guidance to customers, the Food Standards Agency have warned people "not eat it." The statement continued, advising: "Instead, return it to any Morrisons store for a full refund. No receipt is required. For further enquiries, please contact Morrisons Customer Services on 0345 611 6111." Consumers are advised not to eat the product and to return it to their nearest Morrisons store for a full refund. A receipt is not required to claim the refund. Morrisons has confirmed that no other products are affected by this recall, and the issue is limited solely to the Savers Salad Cream, the Mirror reports. The supermarket stated: "We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
