OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A partnership between two companies will bring more than 100 jobs to an Oakland County medical technology company in Wixom. Youngsoft Inc. and ptMantra Inc. are partnering, with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, to bring the jobs as part of a $2.35 million capital investment. The plan is to develop and deploy a first-of-its-kind Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM) system and remote patient management system, according to Thursday, Oct. 30 news release from the governor’s office. “I am excited that these two companies are coming together to drive economic growth and prosperity in Oakland County,” said Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. “Their partnership will bring over 107 new good-paying local jobs to Michigan, helping us revitalize our communities and invest in our workforce. This expansion project will also leverage Michigan’s historic medical device and technologies industry, supporting healthier communities across the state.” The RTM system will provide secure, mobile-based, AI powered therapeutic monitoring which ensures patients can adhere to their rehabilitation plan from the comfort of their own homes. ptMantra in Wixom specializes in RTM technology, and Youngsoft, also in Wixom, specializes in information technology consulting and IT Solutions. Both companies were founded by Rupesh Srivastava. A boost to the effort was received in the form of a $404,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund. “We are honored to partner with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and deeply grateful for their support.
