Kim Sejeong & Kang Tae Oh's Moon River OTT release When and where can I watch Moon River? Moon River releases on November 7, 2025, and will stream on Viki in India. The MBC drama is in the weekly Friday-Saturday slot, marking Kim Sejeong's first tryst with sageuks. While K-drama fans are excited to watch Kim Sejeong and Kang Tae Oh's charming chemistry unfold on the small screen, Moon River is also stacked with a talented supporting cast. This includes Jin Goo of Descendants of the Sun fame, Lee Shin Young of Crash Landing on You fame and Hong Su Zu of Sweet Home fame. What is the story of Moon River? Moon River is centred on the unlikely romance between the unhappy, revengeful Crown Prince Lee Kang (Kang Tae Oh), who grieves his beloved queen's death that occurred due to palace power struggles, and the quick-witted, free-spirited peddler Park Dal Yi (Kim Sejeong), who has lost her memory. Known for his reckless lifestyle, Lee Kang is a man who no longer laughs and sacrifices his own happiness to seek revenge. At the cusp of carrying out his long-awaited revenge plan, Lee Kang encounters Dal Yi, who bears an uncanny resemblance to his late queen. Dal Yi might be the complete opposite of Lee Kang's deceased love, but she's famously known as the enticing “sell-out queen" due to her exceptional business skills and natural-born knack for sales. In a mysterious twist of fate, Lee Kang and Dal Yi switch bodies, and as expected from soul-swap K-dramas, hilarity ensues. Navigating their different personalities and social status, the “opposites” are forced to walk (and clash!) in each other's shoes before a tender romance blooms amid the dangerous political landscape. Jin Goo as the cold-hearted, greedy Left State Councillor Kim Han Cheol is the main antagonist, who gets entangled with Lee Kang and Dal Yi. Han Cheol is a grand schemer, with absolute power over the king, who seeks to claim Joseon for himself and is even willing to use his own daughter to get what he staunchly believes belongs to him. Hong Su Zu plays Kim Woo Hee, Han Cheol's only daughter, who is fated to live as her family's puppet and shares a tense relationship with her father due to their opposing goals. Known as the most beautiful and intelligent woman in Joseon, Woo Hee aims to become the queen and pursue the life she craves for herself. Lee Shin Young portrays the gentle, care-free Prince Yi Woon, Lee Kang's cousin and the King's deposed firstborn, who has accepted his new reality without seeking to reclaim his Crown Prince title. However, he remains under the constant scrutiny of the ruthless royal family, who don't trust his good intentions. Yi Woon strives to live a peaceful life, but finds loneliness at every corner. In an interview with IS Plus, via Soompi, Kim Sejeong revealed why she chose to star in Moon River: “The idea of a soul-swapping romance really intrigued me, and after learning that Kang Tae Oh would be my co-star, I became even more confident and more interested in the story’s concept.” As for the soul-swapping scenes with Kang Tae Oh, the Hallyu actress added, “When it came to the soul-swapping scenes, Kang Tae Oh and I communicated and shared ideas extensively. We even switched and read lines in the script and discussed any confusing parts right away to build on our ideas. I also studied his habits, speech patterns, and even his vocal tone to try to replicate them.”
