Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Modern multifunctional underground complexes will soon be constructed in the central part of New Tashkent, designed to integrate essential infrastructure for residents and visitors. Special attention during the design phase is being given to creating a barrier-free environment accessible for people with disabilities. According to the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the new facilities will house car washes, charging stations for electric vehicles, bicycle parking, and childcare rooms. Each project will include dedicated parking areas and service points in compliance with international standards for inclusivity. Authorities emphasize that developing underground infrastructure will help reduce both traffic and pedestrian congestion on the surface, making movement around the city safer and more convenient.
