President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has departed for the State of Qatar today, November 3, on a working visit at the invitation of the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The presidential press service reported the news. According to the visit agenda, the Head of State will take part in the Second World Summit on Social Development in Doha. The summit is designed to serve as an important platform for constructive dialogue among countries, international and regional organizations, UN structures, civil society institutions, experts, and business circles. The forum’s main objectives are to enhance global efforts aimed at eradicating poverty, promoting full and productive employment, ensuring decent working conditions, and expanding social integration amid modern challenges and interdependence. At the conclusion of the summit, participants are expected to adopt the Doha Declaration, aimed at strengthening international partnerships and advancing coordinated approaches to achieve sustainable and inclusive social development goals. In addition, a number of high-level bilateral meetings are scheduled to take place.
