Mihika Yadav Caps Off India’s Dream Run at Pickleball World Cup with Open Women’s Singles Bronze

Before setting foot on the international arena in Florida, India’s No. 1 women’s singles player Mihika Yadav had already offered a glimpse of her class, composure, and competitive fire. At the Rise Up Championship – Pickleball By The Bay 2025 - an Indian Pickleball Association (IPA)-recognised PWR 1000 event in Chennai and the biggest tournament in the country so far — she captured the women’s singles title, reaffirming her rising stature in the sport and setting the tone for her international breakthrough at the Pickleball World Cup. In a span of a little more than a month, she is now an international medallist, having won the bronze medal in the Open Women’s Singles category at the Pickleball World Cup in Florida on Sunday night, as the curtain came down on the marquee event. With her medal, Team India wrapped up their campaign in their first official participation under the patronage of the IPA, the National Sports Federation (NSF) for pickleball, with a whopping 19 medals. Mihika’s bronze was India’s seventh at the event. India also won six gold and as many silver. The women’s singles bronze at the Pickleball World Cup is the latest jewel in Mihika’s blossoming career. Earlier this year, she competed in the inaugural season of the PPA Tour Asia, playing across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan. She also struck gold at the Dubai Open and clinched bronze at the Monsoon Pickleball Championships, reaffirming her reputation as one of India’s finest pickleball exports.
