Michael Porter Jr. Finally Confesses Truth About Family Trouble After Brother Jontay Porter’s Arrest

“They raised all of us and such an amazing way. My mom homeschooled us, (and) my dad was a great father. So it was tough. A couple of the situations happened during the playoffs. I happened to go to the court courtroom and then go play a playoff game later that day. So that was tough, but athletes get really good at ignoring their feelings as well,” he further explained. It is understandable how families become victims of a media witch hunt when a news story hits the headlines. The Brooklyn Nets forward’s parents, like many other parents, are not accustomed to the media attention. But having faced the media for a long time, Michael Porter Jr. told that he was able to deal with all this stuff once his brother was arrested. The 27-year-old also explained that a trip to Thailand made him realize just how small his problems were compared to others when he struck up a conversation with underprivileged kids. However, even that didn’t help him as much as talking to his brother did. Michael Porter Jr. finally understands his brother’s entire story after a long chat One can only imagine the hardships that the Porter family had to go through during Jontay Porter’s arrest. However, in another interview with the New York Post, Brooklyn Nets star and Jontay’s brother, Michael Porter Jr., revealed how having a heart-to-heart with his brother helped him to understand his story and come to terms with the other aspects of it as well. According to the six-foot-ten forward, the duo apparently sat down for a three-hour podcast, which hasn’t been released anywhere yet, as he learned more about his brother’s situation. “He recently actually got on my podcast. We haven’t put it out yet. We’re not able to put anything out at this time. But we did sit down to have a three-hour conversation,” he told The New York Post.
