(CNS): The RCIPS has opened an investigation into a robbery on Saturday evening at a barber shop on Batabano Road in West Bay, close to the junction with Mount Pleasant Road. At around 5:10pm, the RCIPS received a report that a masked man, brandishing a machete, had entered the shop and robbed a person who was present. Police did not say if this was a customer, the owner or a member of staff. But the robber took a bag containing personal items and an undisclosed quantity of cash. He then fled to the rear of the store and met a second masked man outside. They then both fled in a light-coloured Honda Fit. Police said that no one was injured during the incident. The robbery is under investigation by West Bay CID, and anyone who witnessed it or who may have any other information is asked to contact 949-3999.
