Martha Stewart knows a good thing when she sees it. The star’s built an empire with her inimitable taste — and she’s not slowing down anytime soon, having just launched her first-ever skincare line, Elm Biosciences, at the age of 84. “We’re very excited about it,” Stewart told Page Six Style on the red carpet at Monday’s Fashion Group International Night of Stars gala. The brand offers just two products for now: the “magnificent” A30 Elemental Serum, designed for both morning and nighttime use, and the Inner Dose Daily Skin Supplement. Elm Biosciences A30 Elemental Serum They’re not the only products Stewart keeps in her arsenal, however; she’s also a fan Tatcha’s The Camellia Cleansing Oil, a two-in-one makeup remover and face wash. (“I love that very much,” she raved.) After all, when asked about the most common skincare mistakes, Stewart noted that people often “don’t keep their faces clean enough and don’t apply enough nutritious serum or cream as they should.” Tatcha The Camellia Cleansing Oil “It’s kind of lazy, and I’m shocked that people don’t do a better job of it,” she adds. “That’s why we’re making it simple and very efficacious.” She brings the same pared-down philosophy to her fashion these days, reaching for quiet luxury style staples like the Brunello Cucinelli cashmere sweater she sported for the starry gala. “I love simple clothes,” she told us, also naming Hermès, Ralph Lauren and Jenny Packham among her favorite brands for “elegant, wearable” wardrobe staples. The FGI Gala brought out plenty of fashion industry icons, from David Lauren to Law Roach to Stewart’s longtime friend Dennis Basso. During the star-studded dinner at the Rainbow Room, the domestic doyenne also presented the leadership in luxury lifestyle award to Sarah Wetenhall, owner and CEO of the Colony Hotel and Hedges Inn.
