Glow or Go—a one-of-a-kind, glow-in-the-dark group adventure created by Fever, comes to the Beverly Center on the 6th floor on Thursday, Oct. 23, dropping players into a world stripped of color and emotion. Teams of four to eight take on a high-stakes mission to restore vibrancy by conquering five action-packed game zones. Each zone tests a unique skill as players work together to bring color back to the world, unlocking the ultimate paint blast finale. The game zones include: Pink Panic: A high-tech twist on Whack-a-Mole with lights, sound, and multiple game modes to push reflexes to the limit Red Reflex: Navigate a laser-filled maze without getting caught – stealth, speed, and precision are key Yellow Yell: Solve puzzles and launch objects at six targets with the possible solutions – how good is your aim? Orange Outrun: Dodge fireballs, leap across platforms, and collect keys in a team game where The Floor is Lava. Solara: The grand finale. One last mission. One massive paint blast. In celebration of Halloween, two of the scariest movies ever made will screen at the Ford Theater on Thursday, Oct. 30, and Friday, Oct. 31. First up, Jordan Peele’s Get Out (2017) on Halloween eve, and Night of the Living Dead from George Romero (1968). This black-and-white masterpiece initiated the avalanche of zombie apocalypse films that have followed. The legendary Love Ride, powered by Harley-Davidson and hosted by Grand Marshal Jay Leno, roars back into Southern California on Sunday, Nov. 9, for its 34th installment, bringing together motorcycle culture and a charitable purpose. The ride kicks off from Harley-Davidson of Glendale and ends at Castaic Lake, with a full day of community, cause, and celebration in support of Wounded Warrior Project and Adopt The Arts. Tickets and full details are at www.LoveRide.org. Skyline Pitch is LA’s new rooftop soccer field on top of the Americana at Brand lifestyle center. Spanning 25,000 square feet, the facility overlooks the city skyline and is an energetic, all-ages playground and community space. Developed by Chicago-based experiential agency Elemento L2, Skyline Pitch features two full-size soccer fields, a panna cage, a tennis court, training zones, interactive play stations, and lounge areas. Designed for players of all skill levels, the venue hosts everything from casual pickup games and youth camps to competitive leagues and tournaments. Winter season is theater season, and LA Opera’s 40th Anniversary Season continues with a revival of the Herbert Ross production of La Bohème at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, conducted by Resident Conductor Lina González-Granados. Giacomo Puccini’s heartbreaking romance will have six performances from Saturday. Nov. 22 through Sunday, Dec. 14. In the opera classic that inspired the smash hit musicals Rent and Moulin Rouge!, six lively bohemians experience joy and loss among the evocative rooftops, cafés, and garrets of Paris.
