Manpower Ministry Reveals 7 Most Wanted Jobs in Indonesia for 2025

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Ministry of Manpower has revealed the latest workforce trends in Indonesia for 2025, highlighting which sectors and positions are most in demand.Data from the Manpower Market Center shows that sales and marketing roles top the list, with a total of 72,511 vacancies nationwide.Surya Lukita Warman, Head of the Manpower Market Center, explained that the high demand in these positions reflects the key role of trade and distribution in driving Indonesia’s economy.“If we look closely, the positions most sought after by companies are still sales and marketing,” Surya said during a media briefing at the Manpower Career Hub office in Jakarta on Friday, September 26, 2025.In a surprising development, the job of live streaming host also entered the top 10 most in-demand positions. “This is quite notable, as more than 10,000 live streaming host vacancies have been posted directly by companies,” Surya noted.According to Surya, live streaming hosts must meet specific qualifications. The role requires not only on-camera communication skills but also expertise in sales, marketing, and the technical aspects of live broadcasting. The highest demand for live streaming hosts was recorded in DKI Jakarta, with around 2,800 openings, followed by Banten and other regions. In Jakarta, salaries for this position range between Rp3 million and Rp5 million per month.Surya also encouraged job seekers to utilize Career Hub, the government’s official platform connecting employers with the workforce.
