Manchester United legend Roy Keane has slammed Liverpool fans for booing Trent Alexander-Arnold. He believes that the Real Madrid star left the club in the right way and did not say anything to mislead the fans.Speaking on the Stick To Football podcast, Keane hit out at the Liverpool fans, claiming that they did not have the right to boo Alexander-Arnold. The Manchester United legend wants them to move on from the transfer and not react when they come face the Englishman again and said:"But to go to the effort of thinking, 'I'm going to boo this kid' as a local lad and L'pool fans, for some reason, think they've got class. No, L'pool fans have to have a good look at themselves. The beauty with Trent over the last year or two is that he has said very little; he's not been one to say, 'Oh, I'd love to stay here.’ He has actually kept his mouth shut, and sometimes that's not a bad thing to do. How many times do you see players say, 'Oh, I love this club,' and then they leave? He kept it cool."Liverpool won 1-0 against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League this week, with Trent Alexander-Arnold coming off the bench in the second half. He moved to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer, after the two sides agreed a £10 million deal when the right-back had just a month left on his contract.Liverpool's Jamie Carragher disagrees with Manchester United legendJamie Carragher spoke about Liverpool fans booing Trent Alexander-Arnold, disagreed with the Manchester United legend, and admitted he was not surprised. He believes that the majority of the fans did not want a local player to leave the club and said on CBS Sports (via Tribal Football):"I wasn't surprised, and I don't think Trent would have been surprised if I'm being totally honest. There is obviously a lot of strong feeling in the city around him moving. I was a local boy playing for L'pool and living in L'pool, and in the city, we live and breathe football every single day.""Even though I'm not a player anymore, all we talk about is L'pool. So when one of your own moves on and makes a decision that 99 per cent of the supporters think 'I wouldn't do that', a local player for L'pool has to embody those supporters. I know what Trent is going through and the difficulties that you can have. But leaving Liverpool isn't easy."Real Madrid also signed former Manchester United defender Álvaro Carreras to bolster their defense.
