Man Utd news: £100m transfer target for Ruben Amorim as club 'enter talks' over signing

Manchester United 's summer signings were in the spotlight during their win over Brighton, marking the third consecutive Premier League victory for Ruben Amorim's team . After a disappointing start to the season, United seem to have found their stride, with goals from new recruits leading them to a 4-2 triumph over Brighton. Senne Lammens was solid between the sticks, while Matheus Cunha opened the scoring and Bryan Mbeumo netted a brace in the second half. Mbeumo, who joined United for an initial £65million after scoring 20 top-flight goals for Brentford last season, appears to be a savvy acquisition. However, Amorim will have to make do without the Cameroonian for at least two matches. More signings are also on the radar for the resurgent Red Devils, now up to sixth in the Premier League table. Here's all the latest news from Old Trafford. Mbeumo is fast becoming a key component of Amorim's attack, playing to the right of a central striker alongside fellow newcomer Cunha, reports the Mirror . He has already scored four league goals and seems to be finding his feet in Manchester, but he will soon depart to represent Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations. Cameroon have qualified for the international tournament, which kicks off in late December in Morocco. Mbeumo's national team will begin their group stage campaign on December 24. This phase will last until December 31, meaning Mbeumo will miss at least United's matches against Newcastle and Wolves. If Cameroon progress further, with the final scheduled for January 18, he could miss at least three more games, including the Manchester derby on January 17. United are said to be in ‘concrete talks’ to sign AIK striker and 16-year-old wonderkid Kevin Filling. According to Sky Sports in Germany, United are in ‘concrete talks’ to sign Filling and the Swede could be available for around €3million (£2.6m). However, Filling also has interest from a number of Bundesliga clubs. Filling has scored two goals for AIK in seven appearances in the Allsvenskan, including on his debut against Goteburg when he started and scored, becoming an overnight sensation. He later scored a 96th minute winner in the fierce Stockholm derby against Brommapojkarna, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory and etching his name into club folklore. AIK are said to be reluctant to let their teenage sensation leave and tied Filling down to a three-year professional contract after his derby goal. Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Filling distanced himself from transfer speculation. "I don't think about it," he said. "I focus on where I am now. At AIK. I rub here every training session. I try not to think about it in any special way. I just look at where I am now. I am in AIK and I continue here every training. I will become better as a person and as a player. That is where I am." Sky in Germany have also reported that United and Newcastle are two of many clubs closely monitoring Elliot Anderson’s situation at Nottingham Forest. The England international has gained plenty of admirers with his midfield performances for Forest, who are reportedly demanding a fee between £100m-£120m. Anderson, 22, has made himself a core part of Thomas Tuchel ’s England squad, picking up four caps in the last two international breaks. During the match against Brighton, it was a superb free-kick from ex-United striker Danny Welbeck that sparked a brief comeback, making the score 3-1 in the second half. A goal from Charalampos Kostoulas in stoppage time brought it to 3-2 before Mbeumo sealed the deal with a decisive finish. The English lad, a product of United's youth system, was a regular on the pitch before making his move to Arsenal in 2014. His former teammate, Rio Ferdinand, rates him as England's second-best striker, just behind skipper Harry Kane. "He's second to Harry Kane. No, seriously. No experience can do different types of things on the pitch for you," Ferdinand declared on his YouTube channel, 'Rio Ferdinand Presents'. "He can run behind if need be. Like we saw even at Old Trafford at the weekend, he can run behind. He can come short and link play as well as anybody outside of Harry Kane. Like he's an all-round footballer."
