It's understood one man was left with life-threatening injuries after being struck, before the black Range Rover then ploughed into a bollard and part of the wall outside the Sainsbury's Local. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) within GMP are currently investigating the serious crash. Pictures from the scene showed the vehicle remaining in place outside the store with a badly crushed front bumper and a bollard wedged beneath the car, which appeared to have mounted the pavement. Police remained in attendance throughout the afternoon to carry out investigations as the car park remained sealed off. --- Day in day out, our reporters in the Manchester Evening News newsroom bring you remarkable stories from all aspects of Mancunian life.
