Man convicted in train station gun case once again wanted, agents say

A convicted felon accused of firing a gun at a train station is once again wanted by federal authorities. Anthony Jerome Lucas, 36, is wanted on a federal supervised release violation. A warrant was issued for his arrest on October 21, 2025. ALSO READ | Second defendant stands trial in Pasadena teen's murder in Federal Hill According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Lucas is accused in an assault in Washington D.C. and subsequently violated the terms of his supervised release. Court documents showed Lucas was originally placed on supervised release following a conviction for a gun offense. Investigators said Lucas was caught in possession of a handgun and fired the weapon near a train station outside of Washington D.C. in December of 2020. The weapon was identified as a .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol loaded with several rounds of ammunition. Court records showed Lucas later pleaded guilty to count one of the federal indictment and was later sentenced to 16 months in prison followed by three years supervised release. According to online court records, Lucas also failed to adhere to the terms of his release in 2024. Records showed the defendant failed to report to therapy, and left Avery Road Treatment Center prior to completion of inpatient treatment on February 22, 2024. The center is located outside of Washington D.C. ALSO READ | Argument between sisters leads to bloody assault with hammer, investigators say According to court records, Lucas’ criminal history includes prior convictions and/or arrests for assault with a deadly weapon, a weapons violation and assault on a corrections officer. The U.S. Marshals Service detailed Lucas is believed to be homeless, and likely living a transient lifestyle in between Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland. Investigators warn Lucas is known to have violent tendencies. Anyone with information concerning Lucas’ whereabouts is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 202-819-5058.
