Ms Jacenko wowed her 200,000 followers on Instagram this week by promoting the sexual wellness brand Mylbdo in various bikinis. At 45, it is one of the sexiest shoots Ms Jacenko has ever done, but, when asked if she feels more confident in her 40s than in her 30s, she surprisingly said that, despite her public persona, she’s often faking it. “Not at all,” she told news.com.au. “I can play the confidence card, but those closest to me know I am actually Miss Awkward.’ MORE: Trophy homes of Roxy and other Aussie celebs Ms Jacenko is not just known for working behind the scenes for Sydney’s most elite. The 45-year-old’s personal life has always been just as big, brash and glitzy as her working life. From her falling out with Iron Woman Candice Warner over a boxing match gone wrong on a reality television show, to her husband, Oliver Curtis, being sent to prison for conspiring to commit insider trading in 2016. Mr Curtis, in true eastern suburbs fashion, has since made quite the comeback, with his AI firm, Firmus Technologies, recently being valued at over $6 billion. Through it all, Ms Jacenko has continued to exude glamour and ruffle feathers with her unapologetically extravagant lifestyle. For example, gifting her then 9-year-old daughter, Pixie, a $270,000 Mercedes G-Wagon and revealing her then 7-year-old son Hunter was expecting not $2 from The Tooth Fairy, but $200. Pixie is now a teenager, a semi-retired influencer millionaire, and is attending boarding school in Switzerland. Hunter, meanwhile, continues to reside with Ms Jacenko and still in primary school. Ms Jacenko doesn’t just bestow her extravagant lifestyle on her children. She also made headlines last year when she admitted that, after relocating to Singapore, she still flew back to Sydney to get her hair done because, as she put it, “they just don’t know how to do blonde in Singapore”. However, it hasn’t all just been designer handbags, influencer soirees, and celebrity feuds. Ms Jacenko also battled breast cancer in 2016. The 45-year-old has been cancer-free for over nine years now, but she pointed out that it took a real toll on her body, and being in the spotlight was hard. “I remember getting a call from a journalist about four years ago asking if I was pregnant. That was confronting,” she said. Ms Jacenko disclosed that the journalist that asked that painful and personal question was also a man. “Firstly, falling pregnant wasn’t even possible off the back of breast cancer for me, and secondly, yes, I was 18kg bigger than what the media knew me as, but there was nothing I could do.” Ms Jacenko explained that she was on medication after battling cancer that blocked her oestrogen and led to weight gain. “I couldn’t control the side effects,” she said. The 45-year-old has only recently gotten the all-clear to go off that medication and, even then, it was not easy to get back to a weight she is comfortable with. “I struggled once I came off cancer medication and didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin at all,” she said. “It took me two years to get back to my normal (because) I was on oestrogen blockers.” The 45-year-old credits a lifestyle shift to achieving a weight that she feels more comfortable with, and says a few simple changes can make such a significant difference. “I walk every single day and I don’t drink unless it’s a special occasion,” she said. “I am blown away by what a difference cutting alcohol has – it was one of the biggest game changers for me, I wake up every day clear and fresh and not like a balloon.” Ms Jacenko might still feel a little awkward, but she’s now in a place where she’s comfortable doing bikini photo shoots again.
