MAFS UK's Steven breaks silence over cheating claims as he signs off 'Mr Villain'

Married At First Sight UK's Steven has made a shocking revelation in a statement posted after the latest episode, signing off as "Mr Villain". Last night's edition (November 2) of Married At First Sight UK was packed with drama as the couples visited their home towns in an attempt to solidify their relationships in the real world. However, for some, it led to startling realisations about their partnerships. For Nelly and Steven, things seemed to deteriorate further when Steven declined to accompany Nelly back to her home in Manchester. Nelly's family were heartbroken for her, but her flatmate Lucy had some shocking news to share. After joining the pair, Steven was confronted by Lucy, who had been doing some "digging". Lucy asked Steven: "Do you think it's appropriate to be on a dating website?" Despite his denial, Lucy revealed a verified picture of him on the Hinge dating app, leading a stunned Nelly to declare: "I think this marriage is over, because I don't deserve that", reports OK! Speaking to producers, she added: "It's not adding up, I don't get it... Steven being on this dating app while we're still married is cheating. That's a guilty man. This marriage is well and truly over, I want nothing to do with Steven anymore." Steven has been quite outspoken on social media, defending his actions and explaining his side of the story. However, he has now released a statement on social media following the explosive episode. He penned: "The smile of a man who left the experiment after partner swap and still showed up to give the 'audience' what they wanted. "'Are you not entertained?' Yeah, that's right... I refused home stays, because there was nothing romantic there from me. A conversation the 'ex wife' knew about as she was sat right next to me when speaking to producers. "Signing out, Mr Villain." A MAFS UK viewer responded: "Was it like this from the start ie from the wedding day or after the honeymoon? It's such a shame as you both seemed so loved up at the beginning. Why didn't you both just call it a day soon after rather than going on?" Someone else observed: "Someone needs to be the villain, how boring would an entertainment show be if everyone got along and the fact people don't realise that still blows my mind." Another fan noted: "Interesting how none of the other cast members have liked this post." Meanwhile, Nelly has taken to social media following the broadcast, posting a snap of herself bundled up like an infant, accompanied by a placard reading: "Nelly 374 months old loves cheese." She wrote alongside the image: "Since he thinks I was born yesterday", as waves of support flooded in from followers and fellow contestants. Married At First Sight UK continues tonight at 9pm on E4.
