A multi-vehicle collision has led to three lanes being closed near a busy motorway junction just outside of Greater Manchester. Emergency services are on the scene of the crash on the northbound carriageway of the M6 between junction 21 and 21A for the M62. Drivers have been told to expect delays of 20 minutes on approach to the incident near Warrington this morning (November 8). According to National Highways, lanes 1, 2 and 3 are closed on the northbound carriageway of the M6 due to the collision. In a post on X, National Highways: North-West wrote: "Lanes 1,2 and 3 are CLOSED on the #M6 northbound between J21 #Warrington and J21A #M62 due to a multi vehicle collision. "Emergency services are on scene. There are currently delays of 20 mins on approach to the incident." It comes as Greater Manchester drivers are already hit by a closure on the M62 today.
