He kicked off his career in London with roles in Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf. He started transitioning into film more with parts in The Clash of the Titans, The Hobbit, Fast & Furious 6, and Dracula Untold, and he’s also released two studio albums of his own music, so he is particularly well-suited to take on this next challenge. The musical, set to begin previews March 26, 2026, and open on April 23, will be directed by Tony Award-winning director Sam Pinkleton. “I’m giddy to crack this untamable classic open with the razor-sharp Luke Evans at the center,” Pinkletone said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “And I hope to do at Studio 54 what The Rocky Horror Show has done for people around the world for decades – open a dimension to another possible reality. It seriously is the honor of a lifetime to bring the freakiest people I’ve ever met into the freakiest theatre I’ve ever been in to revisit the freakiest show there’s ever been.” So far, Evans is the only cast member announced for the production, but more will be coming at a later date.
